FWSA Safety Person of the Year
Previous winners of the FWSA Safety Person of the Year Award:
Entires may be self-nominated or club-nominated and judging will be
done by a group of safety experts and leaders of FWSA. Applications must be submitted by April 26, For information on how to nominate someone for the Safety Person of the Year Award [Click Here].

 now via email that you plan to submit an entry,
put "FWSA Safety Person of the Year" in the email subject line,and
include your contact info with phone number(s).
The FWSA Safety Award has been graciously sponsored by
Aspen Skiing Company since its inception. Lodging for the award has been provided by The Crestwood Resort
Condominiums and The Gant.
Lodging for the past awards was provided by: Aspen Square Hotel, Destination
Snowmass, The Gant and Daly Lane Properties, The Silvertree Hotel, and the Stonebridge Inn. In the initial sponsor year the award was presented to the winner of a spirited contest for coming up with a slogan. Jo Henry, North Island Ski Club, San Diego Council won with the slogan Ski With Pride, Let It Ride, Watch All Sides. The contest was so competitive, over 130 slogan suggestions were submitted, that Jim Ortiz was recognized for his submission by adding a tag line, First With Safety Awareness. In subsequent years, the award was bestowed for the person within FWSA who does the most to promote safe skiing and safety programs. The winner gets 6 days of skiing in Aspen with air, lodging, lift
tickets, and rentals for two people.
