2006 Telluride Ski Week

February 4 - 11, 2006

Our 2006 ski week was held in Telluride, Colorado, the week of February 4–11, 2006. Over 500 Far West skiers stayed in the historic town of Telluride and in the Mountain Village. Telluride had excellent groomed trails, bowls, glades and chutes for all skiing ability levels. As with previous FWSA Ski Weeks, Telluride provided a 5 of 7 day lift ticket, Welcome Party, 3 races, Mountain Picnic, Apres Ski Party, and Farewell Awards Banquet.

A big thank-you to the FWSA Travel Staff - Gloria Raminha, Marilyn Sigler, Ken Calkins, Bob Ellis and Nancy Ellis. Thanks also to the Sportours staff of Kurt Schroeder and Patrick Rothe who provided invaluable assistance during the week.

Castro Valley Ski Club won the Joe Ross Memorial Award as the 2006 Club Champion.

2006 Council Challenge

Sierra Council won the 2006 Council Challenge Race, North Island Snowdrifters won the Costume Contest and Central Council received the Anchor Award.
